Tonight i met with Nicholas’ teacher for the first time this year. It was a general meeting about all the kids in his class but i had the chance for a one on one with his teacher. She asked what we had done over the summer because he was like a new kid! She said he was repeating everything they said and is learning new things every day. He rarely gives them a hard time anymore and is very responsive to their requests. He plays much better with the other kids and helps them build things. The speech therapist was at a conference but i had a chance to speak to her a few days earlier and she just lit up talking about him. He repeats everything she says and she is introducing new words to him everyday.
