More of Nicholas

16 December, 2008 (10:17) | Journal | By: Mom

Every day, every round of chelation, we see more of Nicholas. He’s now asking “where” people are.

Yesterday morning, he got out of bed and said, “pee pee in the potty - bathroom” - and he did, his diaper was dry and he actually peed in the potty! This was totally unprompted.

Yesterday, when the bus pulled up to drop Nicholas off, I was putting our new Mickey out on the front lawn. Nicholas stayed outside with me, watering all of the plants (in the rain) while I finished it. I didnt have to watch him every single second like I used to. He stayed with me, helped and then we went inside to get dried off (no temper tantrum!) It was 65 degrees out yesterday, so I bet my little man enjoyed making a mud puddle to play in!

This past week, he’s shown interest in other shows, like Christmas shows. We’ve watched Rudolf a few times and even Shrek. He’s loving Monsters, Inc now too. and he still likes Tinkerbell.

Update on Enhansa

16 December, 2008 (10:07) | Supplements | By: Mom

I was waiting to post a follow up on starting this supplement because I didn’t want to post half the story so to speak. We went through about a week of die-off. I believe the die-off was prolonged, because I had read somewhere that to start, the dose is every other day - this is not correct. The initial dose is 75mg 2x per day to start. By doing it every other day, I was just prolonging the agony.

Whatever it does, it does really well. Nicholas is doing really well on it (once we got past the die off) and I’m looking forward to increasing his dose, but I’m not doing that until after Christmas.

I did drop the GSE he was getting (24 drops per day) a few days into the Enhansa. We made it through the die-off and I’m not seeing losses since dropping the GSE, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

I am very excited to see what this supplement has in store for Nicholas once we get the dose ramped up.
