His poor little tummy

31 December, 2008 (17:17) | Journal | By: Mom

Nicholas’s tummy seems to be a little less bloated the past few days. A shirt which was way too tight on him a week ago is now fitting him just fine. I have to start measuring him again so I can keep track. But there is a noticable difference that it has gone down quite a bit.

Receptive Language

Ever since we started the Enhansa, Nicholas’s receptive language has greatly diminished. He’s making great progress in other areas, but I feel like he’s “ignoring” me when I am talking to him - and when I “think” he is paying attention, I really dont think he’s retained one word of what I have said. He was doing fabulous in this area, so this is a bit disheartening - but they say, Enhansa can cause a healing regression - and if it’s helping, we’re willing to push through and endure this for a while.

I’m thinking about increasing his dose back to 150mg per day starting on January 5th. It all depends on how he does on the new acetyl-l-carnitine that I just ordered goes.

Answering the phone

Nicholas has never been one to get on the phone and talk or even listen. Daddy just made Nicholas’s phone in his new little kitchen ring. Nicholas picked up and this is what he said - much to our amazement or should I say, shock!

“Hello, this is Nicholas, I’m here with daddy” and a stream of other words we could not quite understand.

Going back to play kitchen, just wanted to note this before I forgot exactly what he said.
