Well, apparently Alison Singer is campaigning to become the Autism Czar…. I don’t need to tell you that there could not possibly be a worse choice. Please pass this around….

FourteenStudies.org
April 10th, 2009
Mom FourteenStudies.org was recently launched and if you haven’t already seen it, you must take a look.
If you listen to well-paid spokespeople of the vaccine industry, you’ll hear that the case is closed on the link between vaccines and autism and that the scientific consensus supports no association. It’s eerily reminiscent of the days when tobacco companies produced a consensus of science showing no link between smoking and lung cancer.
FourteenStudies.org takes you through each of the studies which the vaccine industry keeps referring to when they say the case is closed – this is a must read for anyone with a child or anyone having a baby.
The case is far from closed.
Round 28 Complete
April 6th, 2009
Mom Almost to 30 rounds – woo hoo!! (Hey, small goals…small goals! Before we know it, we’ll be at 50! One little step at a time!)
A Must See: Autism Yesterday
April 3rd, 2009
Mom Daily Vitamin A Intake
March 31st, 2009
Mom Just so I have this in a safe place…. Nicholas is on the daily maintenance dose for the High Dose Vitamin A protocol. He’s doing really well on it, so we’re going to continue.
Here’s where his daily breakdown of Vitamin A comes from:
Klaire’s VitaSpectrum – 8,167IU (he gets 7 caps per day, instead of 6)
Green Pasture High Vitamin CLO – 10,000IU (1 tsp)
Klaire’s Micellized Vitamin A – 5,025 IU (1 drop)
Total = 23,192IU a little less than 25,000IU, but I don’t want to go overboard.
Added Methylfolate today
March 30th, 2009
Mom I gave Nicholas 1/4 cap of Klaire’s MethylFolate (5-methyltetrahydrofolate) today – which equals about 250mcg.
Nicholas is currently getting 3600mcg of Folinic Acid, but it was also recommended that we try adding the 5-MTF to see if it would help, so we’re giving it a shot. Goal dose is 1 cap 2x a day.
March 31, 2009 – I increased this to 1/2 cap (500mcg)
Update: Nicholas seems tempermental. He had a meltdown and ended up being put in his room to calm down, which has not happened in quite some time. He calmed down very quickly, which is worth mentioning — much quicker than it used to take.
I’m going to hold the dose at half a cap – and split it between morning and afternoon and see if this was just a fluke or if it continues.
Round 27: Complete
March 30th, 2009
Mom What an incredible round! Nicholas is so “on” while on round, that it kills me to end the round. But 27 rounds down… and we keep going…..
35 Boxes
March 30th, 2009
Mom The Step Two catalog came in the mail last week and Nicholas proudly pointed out a sand & water table that he wants to go to the Toy Store to get. Not like he needs another place to play with sand (he has a sand box) – but he keeps looking at this one thing and telling us he wants it. So, I just HAVE to get my 99.99 out of the deal, right?????
So, I downloaded a cool Diego chart that has 5 rows of 7 boxes. Each box is big enough to stick a sticker onto – so I’m using it as a potty training chart. Mounted on the bathroom wall, right next to the potty — Nicholas gets a sticker every time he uses the potty.
Keep in mind, I am totally rolling my eyes here because don’t you know that my kid could care less about some stupid stickers?? I have packs of stickers tucked everywhere. Stickers from school, stickers tucked into birthday cards – you name it, we have a collection. Nicholas has never been motivated by stickers and has never really payed them any attention…. until now.
When mixed with the thought of accumulating enough to trade his sticker sheet in for his sand and water table, these stickers are now the equivalent of the holy grail to him.
So, I mounted the sticker sheet last Monday and I didn’t say a word about it. I patiently waited until Nicholas pointed it out and said, “is that for me?” – and I gave the easiest explanation I could have and then whipped out the Step 2 catalog. “Want this?” I said. “Yes, go to toy store please?” and the conversation went from there. It took me 2 tries at the conversation about the chart, but I had a good feeling that he got the point.
A few days later, I am happy to report that Nicholas has 8 stickers. And he is SO excited to pick out his sticker and stick it on his next square. So, I’m optimistic that this is it and he’s gonna get it this time and we’ll be in his new Diego and Thomas undies in no time.
Restarted Advanced Biocidin
March 29th, 2009
Mom I added a drop of Advanced Biocidin to Nicholas’s supplements today. I think that with all of the yeast we’ve eliminated, there’s been some bacterial overgrowth, so I’m adding this supplement back into his daily routine. I will only keep it on board if I see that it is having a positive effect on Nicholas.
March 30th – increased to 2 drops.
Started Interfase
March 28th, 2009
Mom I bought a bottle of Klaire’s Interfase a while ago and have not yet tried it, so I decided to start giving Nicholas one capsule per day to see if I notice any differences.
Note: Interfase Plus contains EDTA which is contraindicated in mercury-toxic individuals, so I am just trying the regular one.
