“With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good”
So, I guess since they’re Smuckers that we should just take their word for it since you know, their slogan tells us so — Yeah, well, this doesn’t fly with us anymore – we are no longer the uneducated consumers.
Why are we done with Smuckers? Because they have decided to discontinue disclosing ingredient information to external sources claiming their ingredient labels should be enough.
J.M. Smucker Company – What are they hiding?
For the average customer, ingredient labels are enough. And by average customer, I mean those who don’t even read the labels. Not the customer who knows the real ingredients in food colorings, “natural flavorings”, etc. Not the customer who has a child with multiple food allergies and sensitivites.
So, dear Smuckers, since you no longer think you need to disclose ingredient information, we no longer need to purchase your products. (I guess you didn’t want to have to disclose that nice healthy serving of Mercury in your Strawberry Jelly, now did you?)

I feel a trip to visit the Amish in PA coming on — they make some delicious jellies I just can’t get enough of.
