Amalgam Removal

I had 2 of my possible 3 amalgams removed last week. I say possible, because one is a crown and we don’t know what is under it, even with x-rays – so until the crown is replaced (soon, I hope), I have to assume it’s an amalgam. If you haven’t already seen the smoking tooth […]

Nicholas got dressed….by himself

So, when Nicholas got up this morning he was all wet, so I stripped him down and changed his diaper and came downstairs to throw his sheets and stuff in the wash. 5 minutes later, Nicholas comes downstairs FULLY DRESSED!!!! in a matching outfit that was hanging in his closet!

Things that just did not work

So, of course, there were things along the way that did not work for us for one reason or another – and I am going to record them all here – I’ve written about many of them throughout the blog, but in case you miss them, they’re listed here – and I will also list […]

Added Phosphatidyl Serine today

I added Phosphatidyl Serine today from Pro Thera. Today, I gave 1 softgel and if all goes well, I will see how 2 goes tomorrow. This doesn’t seem to have a pleasant taste, so mixing it in with his fish oils is probably a good idea. This is the one I bought: ProThera Phosphatidyl Serine […]

Current Progress

This past weekend, we saw another set of changes in Nicholas – they seemed to all happen practically overnight. – He’s now into watching Toot & Puddle and when he asks to watch it – he sings it like the intro to the show. – He woke me up this morning by knocking on his […]

Added Glucosamine Today

I started giving Nicholas one cap of this today. This is an extremely hard softgel (yeah, you read that right) which I have to saw into with my big knife (Just what I want to do first thing inthe morning is use a knife on a softgel – thank goodness this is relatively big unlike […]

Round 18: Complete & Dosage Increased

Round 18 completed! I increased the dose of both ALA and DMSA this round. Our new dosages are as follows: DMSA: 16.7.mg ALA: 8.33mg Nicholas seemed to tolerate the higher dose just fine. (It wasn’t much of a jump, but it was still an increase over what we have been giving him.)

Capsules I just cannot open…

I started Nicholas on two supplements and I cannot get these gelcaps open – without sawing into them with the sharpest knife in my drawer! So, needless to say, I will be looking for replacements. If you have any I should take a look at, please let me know! Now Foods Ubiquinol CoQH-CF Natrol Glucosamine […]

Added Aloe Vera today

I have been hearing good things from those with kids with gut issues that Aloe Vera helps so much, so I decided to try it and see. A big bottle was under $10 at Whole Foods, so I figured why not. I’ve been giving him one tablespoon per day and will try to fit in […]
